Everyone has questions here and there. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions we’ve experienced out in the field while we’re working. I hope you find the answer you’re looking for.
- Are you a licensed electrical contractor? Answer: Yes. I am licensed through the City of Allentown, Pa. I also have my home improvement contractor’s license.
- Are you insured? Answer: Yes. I am fully insured.
- How much experience do you have? Answer: I’ve been doing electrical work for 28+ years. I have experience in commercial, light industrial, and residential applications.
- Can you pull permits? Answer: Yes, I can. I have a master’s electrician license which allows me to pull permits for any job.
- Do you provide free estimates? Answer: Yes, I do. I never charge for estimates.
- Will I get a written estimate or proposal? Answer: Yes. I usually give customers a written estimate. Usually, through an email.
- How much money do I have to put down before The Dorky Electrician, LLC starts my project? Answer: I usually ask for 1/3 of the total estimate as a down payment. Sometimes 50%.
- When will my work be started? Answer: At the earliest date I can schedule you for that current month or at your request, a later date.
- When will my work be completed? Answer: Promptly or ASAP.
- Do you clean up after working on my project? Answer: Yes. We always clean up before we leave your home or facility for the day. When your project is complete, we make sure things are neat before we leave.
- If you have to cut holes in my drywall, do you repair or patch the holes? Answer: Yes. I feel if I have to create an access hole, I should be the one that should patch it. This prevents the customer from having to call in a separate drywall contractor to come in to make the repairs.
